Aptana Studio 3 with Mercurial on Ubuntu

Step 1: Open Aptana Studio.

Step 2: Click on Help > Install New Software > Click on Add button (next to ‘work with :’ label)

Name: Eclipse Update Site for MercurialEclipse

Location: http://cbes.javaforge.com/update

Adding Repo in Eclipse

Step 3: Check MercurialEclipse and Click ‘Next’

Step 4: Uncheck ‘Windows Binaries for Mercurial (Recommended)    1.9.3.v201110131844’ and Click ‘Next’

Step 5: Nothing to do on this screen and Click ‘Next’

Step 5: Check against I agree and Click ‘Finish’

 

And we are done.

How to Update/Install mercurial on CentOS 5.5

 

Assumption : Your CentOS server is NOT connected to internet but is available on internal network

Check your current mercurial version ‘hg –version’

Step 1: Goto http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS/

Search for Latest release , latest as of now is :

http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS/mercurial-1.9.2-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm

 

Step 2: Download this repo on Machine with access to internet

i have ubuntu box :

wget “http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS/mercurial-1.9.2-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm”

Step 3: Transfer to CentOS

scp mercurial-1.9.2-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm poorak@centOSBox:~/.

Step 4: go to cd ~/

and Finally Install using yum or rpm

sudo yum install mercurial-1.9.2-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm

Sudo rpm -i mercurial-1.9.2-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm

and you are Done !
